StepTree is a really cool utility that will give you a clear view of the situation on your hard drive. It uses special methods of visualization for giving you detailed statistics about number and type of files stored in your system. Your hard drive is represented as an area covered with colored boxes. Each color represents certain type of files. By the way you can define certain folder for visualization. Serious disadvantage is quite long drive scanning time. The main window contains detailed legend where you can view color and file type equivalence. If you put your cursor over any of colored box the application will show you such information as location, number of directories and many more. Also you can activate a number of filters for picking out files by size or date modified. Wide range of settings allows customizing program’s appearance and behavior fully by your demands.
